Serve Your Neighbor Day

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart...and you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Once a year, volunteers from FPC go out together to live out these words of Jesus found in Matthew's gospel. This year, we partnered with St. John's Lutheran Church to make our Serve Your Neighbor Day on April 23rd even bigger and better. Projects included work for Habitat for Humanity, Your Choices (Randolph Pregnancy Care Center), Asheboro Shelter of Hope, Christians United Outreach Center, and Alpha House; also, painting for a local home owner in need, card-making, cookie-baking for first responders, and engaging residents of a local nursing home with music and games. There was truly something for everyone, of nearly any age or skill level.
