First Presbyterian Church offers a variety of small groups for adults, including Sunday School classes, choirs, or service opportunities in our community. Here are some more! Take a look and see if one of these is right for you!
Our Christian Education program provides opportunities to develop and nurture a closer personal relationship with Christ through a variety of means, including Bible study, discussion, sharing, fellowship and prayer. We offer Sunday School classes and other educational opportunities in order to provide care, nurture, and support for people of all ages.
SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE – We offer Sunday School classes for all ages during the school year, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m.
Nursery care is provided on Sunday mornings for children younger than two years old. The crib nursery is located in Room 114. The toddler nursery is on the preschool hall in Room 110.
Dinner and programs for adults, youth and children are offered Wednesday nights during the school year (September through early May). The cost of the meal is met through donations (we suggest $5.00 per person) and programs vary throughout the year. Nursery care is provided for children younger than kindergarten. No reservations are required. This program will resume in September.
Our families with young children gather regularly for fellowship events. Some involve the kids, and some are just for parents (in which case child care is provided). Watch for upcoming events on Facebook page.
We have several active women’s circles who meet monthly for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Our Presbyterian Women council also plans church-wide events and encourages participation in regional and national Presbyterian Women events. For more information, contact the Church Office at (336) 625-3227.
A group of older adults gathers for lunch and a program the third Thursday of the month at 12:15 p.m., from September through May. All aged 55+ are welcome to join us in the Large Fellowship Hall. Reservations are not necessary.
ROMEO is Not Dead!
The “Retired Old Men Eating Out” group meets every Monday morning at 6:45–7:00 a.m. for breakfast at Jed’s Barbecue at 1213 N Fayetteville St. The food is good and you never know what kind of topic of conversation will come up. Please join us!
